A diamond conditioner (CMP Pad Conditioner or Diamond Disk) is a specialized tool for conditioning and maintaining polishing pads. We use single crystal diamond as the abrasive. The main function is to use the hardness of diamond to precisely condition the polishing pad to maintain its flatness and cutting performance. After prolonged use, the polishing pad may become uneven or lose its cutting ability due to wear, which is when a diamond conditioner is needed for conditioning.
